Services

Block Paving
  • The surface is thoroughly prepared with our high-tech equipment by removing weeds, moss, algae and all stains, including oil. Most of the old sand from the edges of the pavers is also removed.

    NB. We use specialist equipment because powerwashing will significantly reduce the wearing surface and as a result the aggregate becomes visible rather than the original smooth texture. Continued powerwashing will also damage the sub-base causing spreading and sinking.

  • Sand is an important part of the structure, so kiln dried sterilised sand is carefully brushed into every joint, including alongside the house and walls. This increases the friction and distributes the load by helping to prevent damage to the sub-base that also causes sinking and spreading.
  • 2 spray coats of low-slip resin sealer is now evenly applied, this solidifies the sand joints that prevents it from washing away by rain and wind. The surface is further protected against weed growth, stains and weather damage. The natural colours of the blocks are also enhanced.

Tarmac
  • The surface is cleared of debris.
  • A Tarmac cleaner and a weed, moss & algae killer are applied.
  • 2 days later the Tarmac is washed down with our hi-tech equipment, leaving it fully cleaned with all loose chippings removed.
  • Degraded areas, especially along the edges are cut out and replaced with cold cured Tarmac.
  • A specially formulated "Tarmac/Asphalt Renovator" is applied that binds the existing surface with polymers to help prevent further loss of chippings. This product was originally designed for the restoration of tennis courts and is available in black, red and green.
  • The original colour of the Tarmac is restored.
  • The ingress of water is reduced, also preventing frost damage that could repeatedly lift the aggregate (stones) from the surface.

Pattern Imprinted Concrete
  • The surface is thoroughly prepared with our high-tech equipment. Moss, algae, tyre marks, oil, white patches and rust stains are removed and old silicone, including debris from expansion gaps is removed.
  • 2 coats of high solid resins especially for pattern imprinted concrete are spray applied to the whole area, resulting in the original colours restored. Choose from a gloss or satin finish.
  • We can also apply a colour tint to match your existing surface due to excessive wear, chips, etc.
  • The sealed surface shrugs off stains, oil and water, thereby extending the life of your paving.
  • Pattern imprinted concrete surfaces can become very slippery when wet; as a result we apply a non-slip additive that is invisible on the surface.
  • Finally, new silicone is applied to all expansion gaps.

Paving Slabs
  • The surface is fully prepared with our high-tech equipment by removing weeds, moss, algae and stains.
  • Any broken mortar joints caused by frost, etc. can be refilled with a brush-in compound that is available in both buff or grey colours, to match your existing joint colour. This not only visually improves the paving, but also strengthens the structure and resists water ingress. See before and after photos.
  • 2 coats of resin sealer developed exclusively for paving and natural stone are spray applied to the surface and joints. The protective low-slip coating seals the paving stones and joints, protects the surface, shrugs off stains, oil, etc., inhibits weed regrowth and helps to prevent water and frost damage. The natural colours of the paving are also enhanced and the life of the paving is extended significantly.

Clean Only (excludes resin seal)
  • You may simply want your block paving, paving slabs, tarmac or concrete areas power cleaned.
  • This service removes hazardous slippery surfaces, in particular, shaded areas that accumulate a high degree of moss, algae, dirt and leaves.
  • If it is Block Paving you have then we also replace the sand.
